What Is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?
What Is Dialectical Behavior Therapy?
Psychotherapy, also known as talk therapy or counseling, is a collaborative treatment approach that helps individuals overcome mental health challenges, develop coping skills, and achieve lasting emotional wellness. At EPH Mental Health, we offer a comprehensive range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
Our licensed therapists and psychiatric providers specialize in a range of treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma-focused therapy, and family systems therapy. The choice of treatment depends on the client's specific concerns, personal preferences, and therapeutic goals.
Our team takes a flexible, personalized approach—adapting therapeutic techniques to meet clients where they are and support them on their journey toward healing, growth, and recovery.
CBT is a widely used approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to mental health issues. It is structured, goal-oriented, and often involves homework assignments to practice new skills.
DBT combines cognitive-behavioral techniques with mindfulness practices. It is particularly effective for individuals with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and focuses on improving emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, distress tolerance, and mindfulness skills.
IPT is a time-limited therapy that focuses on improving interpersonal relationships and addressing specific issues that contribute to psychological distress. It is effective for treating depression, grief, and interpersonal conflicts.
This approach helps clients become more aware of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. These evidence-based practices can reduce stress, enhance self-awareness, and promote overall emotional well-being
This therapy is rooted in psychoanalytic principles and explores how unconscious thoughts and past experiences influence current behaviors and emotions. Psychodynamic therapists help clients gain insight into unresolved conflicts and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Humanistic therapies, such as Person-Centered Therapy (Client-Centered Therapy), emphasize empathy, unconditional positive regard, and the client’s capacity for self-direction and growth. These therapies focus on the present moment and the client’s subjective experience.
Psychotherapy is a patient-centered modality that uses a compassionate approach to help clients identify strengths and triggers and develop appropriate coping mechanisms.
